Tyler Morris: "On To You"

Tyler and his trio with a live version of "On To You" Tyler Morris is a 22 year old musician from Boston, Massachusetts who has released and supported four internationally acclaimed albums to date. Morris developed an affinity for many genres of music at a young age and guitar became his primary passion. Along the way, he became a strong, prolific songwriter and an incendiary performer. Morris has enjoyed live performance ever since he first came onstage as an 11-year-old at the invitation of Gary King, musical director at B.B. King’s Blues Club. Morris became a regular guest player at the club and began his performing career thereafter, having a great grasp of Blues music history and style at a young age. Morris has performed with music industry notables including Sammy Hagar, Steve Vai, Walter Trout, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, Ronnie Earl, Yngwie Malmsteen, Leslie West, Robben Ford, Ronnie Montrose and many others. Morris is an endorsed artist by Gibson Guitars, Marshall Amps, Fishman, Sonotone Strings and many other companies, aiding them in promotion and design of new innovative musical products. Furthermore, Morris has been working with Vintage Guitar Magazine for over five years and has his own exclusive video series with the media outlet. One of Morris’ exclusive videos, a tribute to Eddie Van Halen, received much notoriety, leading him to start a touring tribute to Van Halen’s 40th anniversary, which is regularly selling out at many theatres. In addition to performance and composition, Morris is also an Electrical Engineer, and has designed audio effects for the likes of Joe Bonamassa, Conan O’Brien, Brad Whitford (Aerosmith), Elliot Easton (The Cars), Brian May (Queen), Warren Haynes and others. Tyler Morris Designs (TMD) just released their consumer line of pedals with press releases from Premier Guitar, Guitar World and Music Radar. Morris’ latest release entitled, “Living in the Shadows,” was produced by Mike Zito (Royal Southern Brotherhood, Mike Zito Band). Recording guests on his album include Blues legends Ronnie Earl, Joe Louis Walker and Mike Zito, as well as powerhouse vocalist Amanda Fish. This is Morris’ first release where he is the lead singer on the majority of the album. Joe Louis Walker was a guest on Morris’ previous release, “Next in Line”, which charted at #8 on Billboard’s National Blues Charts. Sirius XM’s B.B. King’s Bluesville consistently played Morris’ rendition of “Willie the Wimp” with Walker on vocals and the single was in the top 10 on Sirius XM for multiple consecutive weeks. On this release, Morris channeled his evolving list of influences into his own unique songwriting style. The album, while in the Blues genre, contains elements of many genres, cohesively coming together in Morris’ established style. Morris adds “Although songwriting has been my passion throughout my career, I am very happy to see the material on this record come to fruition with me as lead vocalist, a role that I have been working on for many years and finally feel comfortable stepping into as a live and studio performer.” Walter Trout, who Tyler has been performing with regularly over the past couple of years says, “Morris is a young six string guitar slinger who can play any style of music. I believe he has an old soul because he plays with a maturity way beyond his years. Watch him go – he’s unstoppable.” Tyler continues to develop his signature sound — channeling a classic Blues mindset into his songwriting. Morris is constantly challenging himself, learning and growing as an artist and, having accomplished so much in such a short time, it will be a pleasure to see where he goes from here.

John Hahn - Heaven's Fury (Official Music Video) from John's latest album, "Undiscovered World".

"Heaven's Fury" is one of the heavier/darker tracks from "Undiscovered World". Huge THANKS to David Motisko Photography for his phenomenal job capturing the moment in stills, video and drone footage!! Over these many years through my musical journey - playing, touring (estimated over 1600 shows), writing and recording, I have had the pleasure of meeting and making friends with so many people and have shared a lifetime of incredible memories! Guitar is my passion, and this new release is a snapshot of where I am at this point in time as a player and writer. It is my hope that as my style evolves, current friends and fans will enjoy the material as well as introducing a new audience to my music. I feel as though I have captured my best writing and playing in this release. Please spread the word…for many, my music is still an “Undiscovered World”.

John Hahn - Thrill of the Chase (Official Music Video)

The incredible John Hahn is back with his latest release- "Thrill of the Chase", a high energy song with many facets; from shredding verses, to 'hooky' melodic choruses, to unexpected twists like the heavy/funky breakdown, "airy" half-time melodic solo section, a quick acoustic interlude...then back to crankin' again!! Update: Feb 23, 2021: FENDER 75 YEARS by author DAVE HUNTER.

Ubiquitous in the music world, Fender guitars and amplifiers are also icons in popular culture, their shapes and sounds instantly recognizable. Authoritatively written and lavishly illustrated, Fender 75 Years is the officially licensed anniversary celebration of the company and its legendary instruments. From Fender’s first instrument—a lap steel guitar produced in 1946—to founder Leo Fender’s groundbreaking early six-string “Spanish-style” guitar designs like the Esquire that set the standard for the electric guitar explosion to follow, author Dave Hunter traces Fender’s entire history to the present. All the innovations and landmark models are here, as well as legendary players who became synonymous with Fender instruments across musical genres. In addition to the instantly recognizable Telecaster and Stratocaster, Hunter examines Fender’s line of legendary offset guitars like the Mustang, Jazzmaster, and Jaguar, and bygone models such as the Marauder, Coronado, Bronco, and more. The Jazz Bass and Precision Bass also feature, as do Fender’s acoustic guitars and workhorse tube amplifiers like the Bassman, Twin Reverb, and Princeton, to name a few. Along the way, readers will get in-depth scoops on the relationships dozens of players have enjoyed with Fender: rock ’n’ roll pioneers like Hank Marvin and James Burton; classic-rock icons like Jimi Hendrix, David Gilmour, and Eric Clapton; blues legends Bonnie Raitt, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Buddy Guy; alt-rock gods J Mascis and Kurt Cobain…the list goes on. In addition, Hunter explores the work of the award-winning Fender Custom Shop and the wares produced there. Illustrated throughout with rare images from company archives, Fender 75 Years treats readers to rare behind-the- scenes views of the shop floor throughout the years, as well as studio imagery of the guitars, rare period advertising and brochures, and performance images of Fender players. It’s the definitive look at the Fender’s first three-quarters of a century and a must-have for any guitar enthusiast. Dave Hunter is an author, musician, and journalist. He is the author of several popular books about guitars, amps, and effects, including Voyageur Press's Star Guitars, The Fender Stratocaster, The Gibson Les Paul, and 365 Guitars, Amps & Effects You Must Play. Update: Feb 22, 2021: Peavey introduce mini Invective Head .mp4

News out of MERIDIAN, MS  Peavey Electronics® proves that good things do come in small packages in their second collaboration with Periphery guitarist, Misha Mansoor. The new invective™ MH amplifier packs all of the best tones from the 120 W big brother into a much more portable and proven 20 W MH head format. At the heart of this little monster is a pair of EL84 power tubes shaped by three 12AX7/ECC83 preamp tubes, providing everything from clean pristine tones to the chunky gated distortion. The onboard Tube Status Indication circuit helps the user diagnose a problem with the power tubes and the bias adjustment pot is located on the top of the small, rugged chassis. Additionally, foot switches allow the invective MH to engage or disengage the Tight voicing and any combination of Gate and Boost on the Lead channel, respectively. There’s also an independently foot-switchable buffered effects loop.AND don’t be deceived by the size or format of the invective MH. No matter the venue, this mini amplifier has plenty of oomph for small-to-medium sized gigs and can even work as a backline stage monitor with its attenuator switch directing power at 20 W, 5 W, or 1 W to suit the need.On the clean channel, adaptive low and high EQ help find the sweet spot with ease. The lead channel provides a three-band EQ and the Master Resonance and Master Presence pots help shape the tone. In addition to its new sounds, the invective MH has all of the recording hooks and flexibility of the other Peavey MH amplifiers, including Microphone Simulated Direct Interface Output with XLR and ground lift switch, speaker-simulated USB, speaker defeat switch, power attenuator, headphone out, and more.
