There's a couple of great shows coming up this Friday and the following Friday. Firstly this Friday, June 26 at 6:30 PM PDT, the Immediate Family are doing a free live stream concert from The Coach House in San Juan Capistrano, CA. To be live streamed live on Facebook. the immediate family it's the modern iteration of the iconic legendary 'Laurel Canyon' based studio ensemble, THE SECTION, and it's featuring four of the most recorded respected and sought after musicians in modern music, including Danny Kortchmar, (guitar/vocals), Waddy Wachtel (guitar/vocals), Leland Sklar - (bass), Russ Kunkel on drums, and the addition of prominent touring, session guitarist, songwriter & producer Steve Postell (guitar & vocals). Their collective catalog of work is so vast it would take you months to listen to it all but just to name a few, they can be heard on albums by Jackson Browne, James Taylor, Linda Ronstadt, Stevie Nicks, Keith Richards, Warren Zevon, Graham Nash, Neil Young, David Crosby & more...It's fair to say, these guys collectively defined the sound of a generation. Then On Friday July 3rd, at 7:00PM PDT The Tribe brings you Elton John's classic double album, "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" in its entirety - live from the Coach House in San Juan Capistrano and featuring a rotation of The Tribe's stellar cast of singers. AGN NEWS: Charlie Daniels has died at age 83

Charlie Daniels has died. He was 83 years old. Charlie Daniels was born Oct. 28, 1936 in Wilmington, North Carolina and kicked off his career playing bluegrass before moving to Nashville in 1967. He already had a reputation as a songwriter having co-written a song for Elvis titled, "It Hurts Me," in 1964. As an in-demand session player Charlie played guitar and bass on Bob Dylan's Nashville Skyline, and worked with Leonard Cohen, George Harrison and many others. In 1979, he won a Grammy for his biggest hit: "The Devil Went Down to Georgia," which featured his incredible Bluegrass fiddle skills and in 1980, the band appeared in the film Urban Cowboy. Charlie Daniels was very outspoken politically over the years, had close ties to the NRA, and as recently as 3 days ago was posting thoughts on a section of his website entitled "Soap Box." CHECK...I can't imagine how you could even begin to practice social distancing at NAMM but I guess there'll be a lot less people there if things remain the way they are now. Just imagine a NAMM where you can hear, park the car, get a coffee and go to the bathroom....!? Also, beginning Tuesday, July 7 and running through Friday, July 10, NAMM will present The 2020 NAMM U Virtual Summit: four days of career and business-enhancing webinars and strategies designed to help businesses take advantage of new opportunities and supercharge their future. Presented by NAMM U, TEC Tracks, and Advanced Audio + Applications Exchange, the free, online Summit will offer a suite of sessions across three unique tracks... Business, Audio and Technology. The sessions will cover topics ranging from online marketing strategies to the future of music technology, presented by experts in each area.
